Hearts of Oak Board member Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has criticized referee Kennedy Paddy's poor performance in the the game against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

Referee Paddy awarded a penalty to Asante Kotoko which decided the winner of the game in this week 24 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

Fabio Gama was adjudged to have been fouled by Hearts midfielder Nurudeen Abdul Aziz in the box, however, replays showed the decision might have been harsh on the away side.

Frank Mbella scored from the spot-kick to win the game for Asante Kotoko as they opened a 15 point gap on the league table against their arch-rivals.

Dr Nyaho Nyaho expressed his displeasure on the performance of the referee after the game.

He described the decision as useless stating there was no penalty to take.

“The referee today was very useless. If this is the level of officiating we are going to witness from our referees, we will call for foreign referees to games like this. There was no penalty there to take.”

Hearts of Oak coach, Samuel Boadu also blamed his team’s defeat on poor officiating.

“We all want Ghana football to be fair but in such a big game and such decisions come in it’s really difficult. If we play fair game I don’t think I will lose this game. We are still on course to retain the league until the last minute.
