The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken regulatory action against Accra Hearts of Oak for alleged misconduct by their supporters during their recent Ghana Premier League encounter against Dreams FC.

According to an update on GFA's regulatory actions, Hearts of Oak has been charged with violating Section 16 of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, and Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019. The charges stem from reported inappropriate behaviour exhibited by Hearts of Oak supporters towards the match officials during the game.

Additionally, the club's social media commentary regarding the match officials is also under scrutiny, with the GFA deeming it as misconduct that brings the reputation of the game into disrepute.

Hearts of Oak have been given until Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to respond to the charges.

The match in question ended in a 2-2 draw, marking Hearts of Oak's fourth game under coach Aboubakar Ouattara. Since his appointment, the team has secured two wins and two draws.

As of now, Hearts of Oak holds the eighth position on the league table, while Dreams FC occupies the 13th spot.
