Hearts of Oak  Coach Samuel Boadu calls for support ahead of CAF Champions League campaign

Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu has called for support from the Phobian family ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign next season.

Samuel Boadu led Hearts of Oak to win the double this season after beating AshantiGold SC in the final of the MTN FA Cup.

Goalkeeper Richard Attah was the hero on the day for Hearts of Oak as they came from behind to win the penalty shoot-outs 8-7 to clinch their 11th FA Cup title.

Samuel Boadu who joined the club mid-way in the season has led the Phobians to break their trophy drought in a decade.

The former Medeama coach has repeated the remarkable achievement of the late Cecil Jones Attuquayefio who was the last coach to win a double with Hearts of Oak.

Speaking after the team’s victory in the MTN FA Cup final on Sunday, Samuel Boadu called on the fans to rally behind the team ahead of their Africa campaign.

“I want to tell the fans to keep supporting the club. Now the bigger one is ahead and it is also my first time in the CAF Champions League”.

“We need their prayers and also come on board to support the Board chairman Togbe Afede XIV, the Board and the club. We need them and I need them”, he added.

According to reports in the media, Hearts of Oak are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of Africa next season.

The team is looking to complete the signing of WAFA duo Konadu Yiadom, Enock Asubonteng in the transfer window.

Hearts of Oak is also in talks with Black Stars midfielder Gladson Awako ahead of a possible.
