Hearts of Oak striker Mahatama Otoo is looking to resume his fine goalscoring form against Real tamale United on Wednesday.
The 21-year-oldââ¬â¢s goalscoring run was halted in the 1-1 draw against rivals; Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Otoo has been scoring consistently in recent games â⬓ firing him to the top of the goalscorerââ¬â¢s chart in the Ghanaian top flight with 13 goals.
But the Hearts captain failed to extend his seasonââ¬â¢s tally on Sunday as he was well marshaled by Rashid Sumaila and Kwabena Edusei in the Kotoko defence.
The yet-to-be-capped Ghana international however believes his failure to score against Kotoko is only a temporal blip as he looks to rediscover his scoring boots in midweek against relegated Real Tamale United.
ââ¬ÅAs a striker I would have loved to score in this kind of big games but it didnââ¬â¢t happen but that doesnââ¬â¢t mean itââ¬â¢s over,â⬠Otoo said.
ââ¬ÅI scored in other competitive games so I think I will have to look ahead and see what happens against RTU, if I get a couple of goals there it will be good for me.ââ¬
The Hearts captain is one goal ahead of closest contender; Yakubu M0hammed of AshantiGold in the race for the Goal King award in the Ghanaian top flight.
