Hellas Verona eyeing up move for Leeds defender Bellusci

Hellas Verona are eyeing up a move for Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci.

Currently propping up the table and without a Serie A win this season, the Gialloblu are looking to reinforce a shaky defence which has conceded 27 goals in 17 outings this term.

Several Italian clubs are thought to be monitoring the Leeds centre-back, with only Hellas confirmed as having put forward an enquiry.

Nevertheless, Leeds club president Massimo Cellino confirmed to Sky Sport Italia that Bellusci will be allowed to leave for a fee between £4-5million.

The player had enjoyed a return to form in the side before being usurped by returning captain Sol Bamba, but now it is thought the Italian would welcome a return to his native country.

Whilst the 26-year-old would prove a decent signing for Hellas, the quoted price tag suggests his current club want to stave off interest for their fiery Central Defender bought for just £1.6 million in August 2014.
