Hertha Berlin forward Marco Richter has explained why he celebrated with Kevin-Prince Boateng after scoring against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The German forward netted the opener as Hertha claimed an impressive 2-1 victory in the Bundesliga clash on Saturday.

The 23-year-old former Germany U21 star scored in his second consecutive match to aid in his side's revival.

After scoring in the 7th minute, Richter ran to the touchline and hug Boateng who did not start the game.

The striker said: “That was an insider. He said before that I would have a bad game but score a goal. Then I showed him that it was a good game with one goal."

Boateng came on as a second-half substitute and assisted Berlin to secure their second straight win and in the process claim up to 10th.
