Nafiu Idrissu hopes to get more play time at Asante Kotoko in the coming season.

The striker scored four goals in Kotoko's 5-0 mauling of third tier club FK Zadruger in their ongoing pre-season tour of Serbia.

The ex Feyenoord and ASEC player who played a meager role in last season's campaign however hopes the technical team has taking notice of his exploits in Serbia.

"As players you can only be focused on improving your performance and hope the coaches pick you for games," Idrissu told Hot FM.

"It is good I have scored four-goals in a game but that is only one match, I hope my good form continues and the rest depends on the coaches."

Thursday's win is a massive boost for Kotoko who lost their first game to Super Liga side Sevojno but registered a 1-0 win in their second game against FC Metalac GM.

The team will play FC Borac Cacak and FC Vojvodina before returning home ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign.
