Ghana head coach Otto Addo has released his squad list for the upcoming international friendlies later this month as warm up towards this year's World Cup in Qatar.

The squad which was announced on Tuesday has five players who have received invitations to the Black Stars for the very first time.

Germany-born defender Stephan Kofi Ambrosius who currently plays for Bundesliga 2 side Karlsruher SC has been invited for the two matches.

Former Germany U21 player Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer is also named in Addo's 29-man squad after switching allegiance to represent Ghana two months ago.

Königsdörffer has been in decent form for Hamburger in the Bundesliga 2 this season with 4 goals in 6 matches in all competitions.

Notable amongst the debutantes is former Spain international forward Inaki Williams. The Athletic Bilbao forward completed a switch to play for Ghana internationally in July.

England-born and former Chelsea defender Tariq Lamptey has also been lined up to face Brazil and Nicaragua later in the month.

Lamptey has previously represented England at the U18, U19, U20 and U21 levels.

Southampton FC defender Mohammed Salisu who has previously rejected call-ups to play for the Black Stars has finally accepted an invitation for the upcoming friendlies.

Salisu cited "unreadiness" for his initial rejections to play for Ghana.

The Black Stars will tackle powerhouse Brazil and minnows Nicaragua on September 23 and September 27, 2022 in France and Spain respectively.
