2021/22 Ghana Premier League Week 3: Match Preview – Eleven Wonders vs Medeama SC

Published on: 14 November 2021

Techiman Eleven Wonders will be aiming for their first win of the season when they entertain fellow early strugglers Medeama at home on Sunday.

The two teams, who have endured a difficult start to life in the Premier League this season, will go at each other at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.

It's a battle of two coaches who have had a feel of the two Premier League teams.

Yaw Acheampong left Medeama to join Techiman Eleven Wonders while Ignatius Fosu swapped Wonders for Medeama at the end of last season.

The two coaches will aim for their first win of the season with Wonders largely viewed as the favourites at home.

Medeama are yet to win after drawing 1-1 at home to Western region rivals Bibiani Gold Stars at the Akoon Park on Tuesday.

Wonders managed to sniff a point at Berekum Chelsea but that followed their 1-0 defeat at home to AshantiGold.

Medeama are in complete managerial disarray after their long-standing Chief Executive James Essilfie resigned from his role on Friday, two days before the crunch fixture.

Though details are sketchy, it appears there is massive confusion in the club amid widespread fears several other resignations could follow in the coming days.

A solution to their early wobbles is needed and fast as the club, touted as one of the finest in the country, could endure their worst performance in the top-flight.

Both teams are tied on 1 point each from their opening three matches but Medeama are rooted at the bottom due to less goal difference.
