Confederation of African Football (CAF) Patrice Motsepe is convinced that Ghana can one day win the FIFA World Cup.

Motsepe said Ghana is blessed with the talent required to conquer the world at a press conference in Accra on Thursday.

The quarter-final is the farthest the Black Stars have reached at the World Cup.

Black Stars haven’t won a trophy since 1982 when they won their fourth Africa Cup of Nation title.

“Ghana has produced some of the best footballers in the world. This country has the talent and resources to produce a national team that can win the AFCON, but also win a World Cup,” Motsepe told the Ghanaian media.

The South African billionaire was in Ghana for a two-day working visit.

Aside from the press conference with the media, he had separate meetings with President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.

Motsepe also spoke at the 2021 YouthConnekt Africa Summit.
