Ghana’s Sports Ministry said it provided needed logistical and financial support to enable the Black Stars to succeed in the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has thus called for an emergency meeting with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after the Black Stars suffered an embarrassing early exit.

The Black Stars recorded one of their worst performances in the tournament history, after exiting the group stage.

Ghana lost its final group game against Comoros 3-2 to exit the competition after losing captain Andre Ayew through a red card.

The four-time AFCON champions have bowed out of the tournament disgracefully and many Ghanaian fans are disappointed in the technical handlers of the team.

The Sports Ministry in a letter sighted by GHANAsoccernet.com signed by Mustapha Ussif has called the FA leadership to an emergency meeting after the team’s exit on Friday.
