The family of Andres Iniesta have donated 20 beds to the Perpetuo Socorro hospital in Albacete, where the footballer grew up.

Iniesta's family are also working on donating more health equipment to be used by doctors and nurses at the hospital, but don't want to make numbers public.

This is according to Andres' father, Jose Antonio Iniesta, who has told EFE about the family's actions.

"We're doing it because we understand that we have to help where we can to avoid more deaths," Jose Antonio said.

As well as sending masks, protective gowns, gloves and hand-washing gels, Jose Antonio also revealed that they'd tried to buy ventilators too, but they are in high demand.
