#IORESTOACASA: THE ACTIVITIES OF AC MILAN

Published on: 06 April 2020

AC Milan doesn't stop and makes of the distance a strength to be closer to all those who fight against Covid-19 and the Rossoneri fans. Here's the weekly update on the Club's main activities:

COVID 19: AC MILAN AND THE COMMUNITY

AC Milan is calling on fans from across the globe to unite against the coronavirus epidemic. From the local community to People around the world, from its players, managers and employees to the international Fan Clubs, everyone is invited to contribute to the ongoing fundraising campaign launched by the Club and Fondazione Milan – the campaign has so far raised €600,000 and is still active. Recently, the Singer family, through The Gordon and Jenny Singer Foundation (TGJSF), has also donated $100,000 to the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele [San Raffaele Hospital in Milan] to purchase life-saving ventilators.

Other upcoming initiatives include the following:

CARE PACKAGES FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE

To support the most vulnerable People in our community during this emergency, AC Milan and some of its partners - Alps, Bioscalin, La Molisana, Peroni, Balocco and the Chinese Milan Clubs - will be donating boxes of essential goods and medical supplies to 2,000 Rossoneri subscribers over the age of 65.

These special care packages will be delivered directly to People's houses and are a way to show closeness and solidarity – two of the values shared by AC Milan - in a time of social distancing and isolation.

SUPPORTING EDUCATION

To support the education of the younger generations in these difficult times, AC Milan will partner with the City of Milan to donate a number of tablets to schools that don’t have such electronic devices – allowing young students to access online schooling from their houses.

The ongoing Covid-19 emergency and the consequent school closure have imposed a revaluation of the teaching method and of the learning process. Online schooling allows schools to remain ‘open’ despite the physical closure of classroom.

Therefore, AC Milan will be donating 30 tables to the City of Milan, which will be distributed to primary and secondary school students to allow them to take part in educational activities from the comfort of their houses.

TECHNICAL AREA ACTIVITIES

AC Milan puts the health of its players, members of staff, employees and fans at the top of its priority list. All training facilities and the administrative and commercial headquarters at Casa Milan will therefore remain closed for the foreseeable future.

All players will continue to follow the government and health guidelines, staying home and keeping in touch with the Club's technical and medical staff. The Club will adapt all its activities according to the indications coming from the government and the health authorities.

The Milanello and Vismara training centers will resume their activity with all appropriate health and safety measures being put in place.

AC MILAN vs GENOA - REFUND PROCESS

Fans who purchased tickets for home matches that were played behind closed doors due to the current Covid-19 emergency, will be able to apply for a refund. For the AC Milan vs Genoa game, a refund request should be submitted no later than 30th April 2020.
