Jeff Schlupp loses Leicester City starting place after Ghana World Cup qualifier against Comoros

Published on: 08 December 2015

Defender Jeff Schlupp has lost his starting position at Leicester City since he featured for his native Ghana during a 2018 World Cup qualifier against Comoros last month.

The 22-year-old impressed heavily for the West Africans as they secured a 2-0 win over the tiny nation to advance to the group stage of the African qualifiers.

But the former Brentford loanee appears to have lost his starting place after being used as a substitute in Leicester's last three games against Newcastle United, Manchester United and Swansea City.

Leicester are on cloud nine with an explosive start to the season which has seen them assume top position.

Legendary ex-Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is backing the Foxes to go all the way this season.
