Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp says Crystal Palace can take positives from their 3-2 defeat against West Ham United in the English Premier League on Saturday.

James McArthur handed Roy Hodgson's men the lead on the 6th minute before Robert Snodgrass pulled level after bending a beautiful strike from just outside the box to equalize.

Goalkeeper Hennessey managed to push away a free kick from Anderson only for Palace’s defence to stand still as Javier Hernandez pounced and lashed the ball into the roof of the net from close range.

And in the 66th minute Anderson made it 3-1 to cap a superb sweeping surge forwards by The Hammers.

Schlupp pulled a goal back for the Eagles after coming on as a substitute, it was not enough to earn Roy Hodgson's men a point in the London derby.

Nevertheless, the Ghanaian international said that while there were things for Palace to work on, there were also things to build on from the performance.

"It's another disappointing result, especially when we started the game so well," he told Palace TV.

"Macca [James McArthur] got the goal and we actually looked quite comfortable. West Ham is never an easy place to come to play but I thought we went in at half-time in good nick.

”We're obviously disappointed to come out for the second-half and then them get a goal, and two quickfire ones, which kind of killed the game for us.

"We've got positives to take from the game and obviously we've got things to work on. So, we'll work on those and be ready for the game against Leicester.
