Jeremie Frimpong admits 'panicking' in Celtic's cup win against Rangers
Celtic's Jeremie Frimpong walks off after being shown a red card during the Betfred Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park, Glasgow.

Dutch born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has revealed that the Scottish Cup final between Celtic and Rangers was the most difficult game of his career.

The 18-year old sensation has been in blistering form for the Hoops since joining in the summer from Manchester City.

However, Frimpong was red carded in Celtic's 1-0 League Cup triumph against Rangers, in a game he admitted panicking throughout.

“Oh my days. When you get sent off like that, I was inside panicking. It was the  worst feeling ever," he told the BBC.

“Every time Rangers got the ball I was just panicking.

“The time was going so slow but the team held it through and I am buzzing obviously.

Frimpong's foul on Alfredo Morelos, whic got him sent off earned Rangers a penalty, which was saved by goalkeeper Fraiser Foster. The former Manchester City academy product expressed delight in his teammates' heroics despite being a man down.

“Chris went to clear it, it ricocheted off someone and Morelos was through on goal.

“Obviously my natural instincts was to put him off a little bit because he was through on goal, all he had to do was a tap in.

“Fraser is unstoppable. I love him. He saved me.”
