Jeremie Frimpong delighted to make injury comeback as Celtic beat Aberdeen

Dutch born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has expressed delight is making a return from injury as Celtic beat Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

The teenager has been out since the Hoops 3-1 victory at Kilmarnock in January, when he was on the receiving end of a heavy challenge from Alan Power.

Frimpong was an unused substitute in Celtic's 2-1 win over Aberdeen at the Pittodrie but could be in the squad for the trip to Copenhagen in the Europa League on Thursday.

"Back in the squad. 3 plus points. Big week ahead for the Celts," the 19-year old tweeted after the game at Aberdeen.

Celtic moved 13 points clear in first after a seventh league win in a row before Rangers beat Livingston to reduce the deficit to 10.

But the champions were largely subdued for much of the 90 minutes.

Ash Taylor cancelled out Celtic's Callum McGregor's opener, before Ajer settled it late on.
