Jordan Ayew's Crystal Palace contract to expire at end of season

Published on: 27 November 2021

Crystal Palace could lose striker Jordan Ayew at the end of the season as his current contract expires in July 2022.

The Ghana striker has been playing for the Premier League club since 2018 when he joined from Swansea City.

He first joined on loan before Palace handed him a three-year contract in 2019, a reward for excelling on his debut. Palace paid Swansea £2.5million.

Jordan bagged three club awards including Crystal Palace player of the season in 2019/20. He scored nine goals to rescue Palace from relegation.

But the last season and this one hasn’t been good for the striker. Jordan scored just one goal last term and is yet to record a goal this season having been involved in 11 league games.

Perhaps Ayew's poor form is the reason for the delay in contract renewal negotiations.

Jordan will leave Palace for free next summer if an agreement is not reached before the season concludes.
