Young winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has said he was thrilled to score in his second competitive start and fourth appearance for FC Nordsjælland in the Danish Superliga.

The Danish elite division returned to action last weekend after three months hiatus following growing concerns over the global pandemic coronavirus.

Sulemana was handed his second start of the season when Nordsjælland beat Silkeborg IF 2-0 on Friday night.

The 18-year-old netted the second goal in the 39th minute to seal the victory for the Wild Tigers.

"When it was decided that I should start, I immediately felt that I was ready to help the team and make a difference in the match." he said.

"I was looking forward to scoring or making an assist, so when the opportunity came, I was able to read and anticipate the defender's movements. I made a decision to take the chance, which paid off and I am very happy with my first goal."

"Most importantly, I'm glad I was able to help the team. I felt it was a new way for me to score a goal, I usually end up in a 1-on-1 situation with the goalie, so I'm happy to find new ways to score."

Sulemana moved from feeder side Right to Dream Academy in Ghana to join the Danish top-flight side in February 2020.
