Captain of Karela United FC Godfred Agyemang has tipped Dreams FC to mount a challenge for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title.
The 2020/21 top-flight season is set to get underway on Friday, November 13, as per press statement released by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday.
Clubs are expected to bolster their squads before the kick-off date.
However, Dreams FC appears to be ahead of all the top-tier clubs in the transfer market after snapping up several established players such as Abel Manomey, Joseph Esso and Agyenim Boateng Mensah in the off-season.
In an interview with Zylofon FM, Karela United FC skipper, Godfred Agyemang believes the acquisitions made by the Dawu-based outfit have pitted them amongst teams that could put up a challenge for the title.
“Dreams FC will be a strong contender for the 2020/21 league season. They can pull a surprise with the kind of signings they have made in the transfer window especially their frontline,” Agyemang opined.
Premier League clubs have been given the green-light to commence pre-season training following the ease of restrictions on contact sports by President Nana Akufo-Addo in last Sunday’s Covid-19 state briefing.
