Kayserispor midfielder Bernard Mensah is suspended for the rest of the season after his red card in the 1-1 draw against Gaziantep.

Mensah has been served with a three-match ban in the Turkish top-flight following his sending off at home against Gaziantep last Monday.

After seeing the red card, Mensah made a statement and stated that he could not control his nerves and was upset.

The 25-year-old has served one game already after sitting out in the club's 1-0 defeat against Istanbul Basaksehir on Sunday.

The former Atletico Madrid player will also miss Kayserispor's final day clash of the campaign against high-flying Trabzonspor on Sunday.

He will however be free to start next season on a clean slate after serving the three-game suspension.

Mensah has been heavily linked with a switch to Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasary in the ongoing transfer window.

He has netted 5 goals and provided 8 assists in 25 league appearances.
