Kevin-Boateng backs Germany to win Euro 2012

Former Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is backing his country of birth Germany to win the next year's European Championships.

The Germans are in a tough Group comprising Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal in Pool B.

His junior brother, Jerome, will a member of the German side at the finals in Poland and Ukraine.

Boateng, a former Germany youth international, believes Joachim Low and his troops can win the ultimate.

"Germany is playing outstanding, and has the potential to win the European Championship. It's nice that my brother is a part of the team," Boateng said in an interview with the sports news channel Sky Sports News HD.

The AC Milan player added that his career run entirely according to plan.

"I said, I would like to be a superstar. I aspire to, not to come up. Therefore you have to embody what you want to be. Milan is beautiful. Currently I am living my dream. The fans love me, and I love the fans," said the 24-year-old midfielder.

At the same Boateng praised the former national team captain Michael Ballack from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

"For me, Michael Ballack was one of the best players in Germany, which has always given everything for his country. He was a great captain," said Boateng.

"As you get older, it's just not the fastest. Sometime it's over, that goes for any footballer. "
