Klopp extremely proud of fighting Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his Liverpool side in the wake of their 1-0 win over Swansea City.

The Reds required a questionable 62nd-minute penalty, scored by James Milner, to get the better of the visiting Swans but the manner of the victory was something that did not bother Klopp who was delighted to record a vital victory on home soil.

"It was the perfect result against a very strong opponent," Klopp told Sky Sports.

"They defended really well so it was a difficult game, we had to change it in the second half and it was difficult with the wind.

"You're always a bit disappointed when the passes aren't coming [because of the conditions] but tonight it was really good and if you want [positive] results in a row you have to fight for them.

"There are some teams in the world who are always winning 3-0 or 4-0, but we are not a team like that so we have to fight for it. I'm really proud tonight."

The win saw Klopp's Reds move up to sixth spot on the Premier League table having won three of their past four fixtures.
