Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah is reportedly planning a meeting with the people involved in the 2017 accident.

The horrific incident happened while the team was returning to Kumasi after honouring a Ghana Premier League match against Inter Allies at the Tema stadium.

The team’s bus ran into a stationary truck in Nkawkaw, resulting in the death of equipment officer Thomas Obeng Asare while some members of the technical and playing body suffered various degrees of injuries.

The club received donations of cash and items from the public following the incident. But three years on and the victims have not been compensated by the club.

Former goalkeeper Isaac Amoako and former coach Steve Pollack rebuked the club for neglecting them despite attempts to get what is due them.

But according to a report by Footballghana.com, Mr Amponsah wants to meet them and settle the issue.

The report states that Nana Yaw Amponsah wants to ensure the players do not feel bitter for serving the club.

This week, Mr Amponsah led the club to settle the long time debt to Omono Asamoah, who worked as Physiotherapist for close to three decades.
