Kotoko congratulate Ghana FA boss Nyantakyi

Giants Asante Kotoko are the latest to congratulate Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi for winning a Caf Executive Committe seat.

Nyantakyi beat Benin FA boss Anjorin Moucharaf 34-19 in a two-horse race on Wednesday in Khartoum.

Kotoko are optimistic Nyantakyi's will use his new post to develop the game on the local scene and on the continent.

A statement signed by Administrative Manager Ben Nti read: ''Your overwhelming victory surely did not come as a surprise at all to Kotoko and connoisseurs of the game of football across the African continent. This is largely because to Kotoko, your exploits in local and continental football is too treasured for any level skepticism.  This as we all know has eventually brought your convincing victory.

''As a premium club is Ghana football, Kumasi Asante Kotoko remains optimistic beyond every shred of a doubt that, your new office will help bring about the much expected development into African football and more specifically Ghana football."
