Kotoko defender Sumaila steps up recovery

Published on: 16 October 2012

Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila will step up his physiotherapy sessions this week on his road to full recovery.

The 19-year-old suffered a muscle injury in his first competitive debut for the club in the Super Cup win over New Edubiase.

Sumaila was expected to be out for two-weeks but his return had delayed due to his slow recovery.

The ex Ebusua Dwarfs player will now step up his recovery with intense physio sessions this week.

He will be closely monitored by Kotoko’s medical team headed by Dr. Kwaku Boateng during the sessions.

The champions will be hoping Sumaila’s recovery schedule goes according to plan but Sunday’s game against Heart of Lions might prove too soon.
