Asante Kotoko new recruit Joseph Ochaya says he is ready for the rough and tumble in the Ghana Premier League.

The 19-year-old is yet to arrive from his native Uganda to begin his career with the Ghanaian League Champions having sealed a three-year deal last month.

But the former Kampala City Council natural left-footer is confident he can break into the starting X1 and make a huge impact on the domestic scene.

“I want to make it to the top. It is the dream of every player to make it to the top,” Ochaya told Kumasi-based Fox FM

‘It is the decision of the coach to field me or not. It does not lie in my mouth.

“When he sees that I am ready to play, then I believe he will field me. It is my job to play. I am ready for anything.

“I am not afraid of anything. I am not afraid of Hearts or any other team because they don’t know my style of play.

“I am battle ready for Kotoko and will do my best to write my name in gold plate.”

Ochaya is expected in town on Thursday to begin his career with the country’s biggest club.
