Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko could move to bring Han van der Pluijm who has resigned as Berekum Chelsea technical head

Asante Kotoko have been put on the alert by news of resignation of Dutch trainer Hans van der Pluijm from Berekum Chelsea as they seek to find a replacement for the set to depart Didi Dramani.

The Porcupine Warriors have reportedly began talks with Dwarfs coach Professor Mintah to take over as new coach but are facing difficulties in luring him away from Cape Coast.

Chelsea announced the resignation of the former Heart of Lions coach as their technical head who masterminded the club's impressive debut campaign two seasons ago.

Kotoko will quickly move to begin talks to convince the Dutchman to move to Kumasi as new coach if they fail to secure Prof Mintah in the coming weeks.

Kotoko are impressed with Pluijm's experience in Africa and are confident he can steer them to a successful campaign next season.

But Medeama who missed out on the Ghana Premier League title are also believed to be interested in signing the trainer.

Pluijm was linked with a move abroad after spending several seasons on the Ghana scene but would give consideration to remaining in Ghana and taking charge of either Kotoko or Medeama.
