Kofi Nti-Boakye scored twice for Kotoko against Shining Stars

Asante Kotoko thrashed Shining Stars 6-0 in a club friendly on Friday ahead of their CAF Champions League clash with JSM Bejaia.

Striker Kofi Nti-Boakye scored twice while Prince Baffoe, Michael Helegbe , Seidu Bancey and Richard Mpong scored a goal each in the riot.

Friday’s friendly was the final dress rehearsal for the Ghanaian champions before taking on Algerian club JSM Bejaia in the Round of 16 second leg game of the Champions League on Sunday.

Kotoko need only a win to progress in the competition after grinding out a goalless away draw in the first leg encounter in Bejaia.

The Porcupine Warriors have set a target of at least qualification to the group phase upon their return to Africa’s flagship club competition after a four-year absence.

Kotoko secured an impressive scoreline the last time they played at home in the Champions League and now look good to dish out another beating if their friendly with Shining Stars is anything to go by.
