Asante Kotoko Acting head coach Michael Osei has predicted that the growing trend of bad officiating in the Ghana Premier League can cause the death of a referee is measures are not quickly taken to curb it.

According to Michael Osei, the Ghana FA must swiftly address the situation before it gets out of hand.

Speaking at the post-match press briefing after the solitary win over Dreams FC, THE Kotoko gaffer who appeared not satisfied with the performance of the referee had this to say: “Someone will die one day.”

Michael who initially declined commenting on the performance of the officials jovially made that comment when a journalist pushed him to the wall.

“Honestly I don’t want to comment on officiating today, personally I am one person who hardly comments about the performance of referees in during our matches,” Michael Osei initially said.

But when the journalist later said  “But seriously, don’t you think if something is not done about it, it won’t help our league? Michael jovially responded ”someone will die one day”.
