Kwadwo Asamoah envisaging tougher Zambia test

Kwadwo Asamoah is delighted to have helped Ghana book a semi final place at the Nations Cup with a 2-1 win over Tunisia.

The Black Stars left it late to grab the priceless win with a 101st minute strike from Andre Ayew to set up an appetizing semi final clash with Zambia.

And though a sweet victory in the end after a grueling and bruising encounter against the North Africans, the Udinese midfielder is expecting an even tougher tougher test at the hands of the Chipoloplo on Wednesday.

“Every match that we have played in this tournament has been very tough and difficult for us so we did our best to win this match (win over Tunisia), it wasn’t easy at all.” he said.

“You can see the Zambians run a lot so we have a very tough game ahead of us so we are going to do our work and learn our mistakes and then face them (Zambia).”

Asamoah however downplayed the distraction of already thinking of winning Ghana’s first African title in 30-years ahead of Wednesday’s match up.

“We take it match after match, now we play a tough game against Zambia so we will only know (whether the trophy is in sight) after we play them.

“But I believe we are on track and we will move forward with what we are doing," he added.
