Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi does not want Ghanaians to start jubilating over reports that he is in line to be appointed the new CAF Vice President insisting it is too early.

Various reports have dominated the headlines following Issah Hayatou’s defeat as CAF President linking the Ghana FA Boss to the position of Vice President after Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar took over.

But Nyantakyi thinks it’s too early to jubilate over such reports.

“CAF president Ahmad Ahmad will nominate two Vice Presidents for approval by the Executive Committee.

“The ExCo is supposed to meet on 11th April. The president is yet to nominate so it's premature for people to jubilate now,” the powerful Ghana FA boss noted in a WhatsApp interview on the InsidefricaFootball platform.

Insiders at CAF have however hinted that Kwesi Nyantakyi and Constant Omari of DR. Congo could be appointed by Ahmad for the ExCo to vote on who becomes the next CAF Vice President.
