Kwesi Nyantakyi restates he will NOT contest 2019 Ghana FA presidential election

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has reiterated he will not stand for re-election when his current term expires in 2019.

 Nyantakyi was elected into office in December 2005 and he is serving a third term in office.

''Somehow somewhere I will quit. I believe that the time will come that I will have to put down my tools and take off my boots. I have announced already that after the end of my tenure I will not seek re-election,'' Nyantakyi said on Joy News Upfront Show on Wednesday, September 27.

At the last election, he stood unopposed and it does not look he has competition when it comes to local FA elections.

He has risen to become 1st vice president of CAF where he on the Executive Committee member and also a member of the new FIFA Council.

His positions will expire in 2021.
