Kyere, Owusu score in Egyptian League

Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Kyere opened the scoring for Ittihad in their 3-0 ENPPI in Alexandria on Wednesday night.

Kyere converted a first half spot-kick for last season's strugglers before goals from Mohamed Al-Morsi and Rami Rabie sealed the win.

Elswewhere, another Ghanaian striker Samuel Owusu scored the consolation goal for Ghazl El Mehalla in their disgraceful 6-1 drubbing at giants Zamalek.

On ten minutes, the 24-year-old raced into space before masterfully rounding up Abdul Wahed Al Sayed the Zamalek goalkeeper.

He coolly slotted the ball into an empty net to open the scoring for the visitors.

However, they sat back and watched as Mahmoud Fathallah, Amr Zaki, Ahmed Hassan and Hossam Ahmed Mido all scored to secure the points for the White Knights.

The loss has sunk Mehalla to the foot of the table.
