Latvia 0-3 Poland: Robert Lewandowski scores hat-trick as Poland close in on Euro 2020 spot

Published on: 10 October 2019

Lewandowski has scored six hat-tricks for Poland

Poland striker Robert Lewandowski took his tally to 18 goals for the season with a hat-trick in a 3-0 Euro 2020 qualifier win in Latvia.

The victory strengthens Poland's place at the top of Group G as they sit three points clear of second-place Austria.

Lewandowski scored two goals in five first-half minutes, tucking the ball beyond the goalkeeper before turning home a cross.

The Bayern Munich striker then tapped in a late third.

Lewandowski's hat-trick means he has scored 18 goals in just 14 games for club and country this season.
