Le Tissier: Hodgson should make most of sparkling relationship between Tottenham pair Kane and Alli

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has advised England manager Roy Hodgson to make the most of the sparkling partnership between Tottenham pair Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Kane and Alli have been the driving force behind Spurs' brilliant form this season and both are set to feature in the Three Lions' squad for this summer's Euro2016 tournament.

"Alli has been the one who has come to the fore this season and shot his name into the squad just by his performances," Le Tissier said.

"There was a lot of clamour with Jamie Vardy when he went on his scoring run but I always thought Kane would be the main striker. Kane and Alli are fantastic together.

"That will help Alli's case, that he plays with Harry, and the fact their relationship this season has gone from strength to strength could tip it in his favour."
