Libya insist on AIDS test for Ghanaian fans for Africa U20 tournament

Ghanaian soccer fans who will travel to Libya for the African Youth Championship must under mandatory AIDS test, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The Libyan Embassy in Ghana wants to instill the new gauge to ensure fans who travel to the Arab state are free from the deadly disease

The precautionary measure is expected to receive wild criticism as it will deepen the stigmatization of people living with the disease.

The African Youth Championship will be held in the North African country from March 18 -1 April.

But already there are concerns about the readiness of the country to host it after anti-government protests rocked the country on Thursday.

Ghana won the last edition of the tournament in Rwanda two years ago.
