LIGUE 1 - Lyon to spend in the next transfer window says Club president

Published on: 27 October 2021

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas indicated that the club will try to invest in the upcoming transfer window during a news conference today to announce the club's stock-listed company's annual financial performance.

According to Aulas' statements reported by L'Équipe, he is "unsure" whether Les Gones will be able to refuse offers for their own players, but that only those who wish to go will do so. The president goes on to say that the objective is to sign players in January, but he isn't persuaded that this is necessary.

This is especially true in light of Jeff Reine-comeback Adélade's from injury and the prospect of fielding multiple academy players. In any event, Aulas has stated that Juninho and Vincent Ponsot, the directors, have met and that preparations will be made in December.

Aulas also expressed his belief in manager Peter Bosz's ability to get the club back on track following a string of poor defeats since the start of the season.
