Marseille came from behind to overcome Lorient 4-1 on Sunday, earning their first Ligue 1 victory in four matches thanks to Matteo Guendouzi's goal and two assists.

Jorge Sampaoli's team had lost their previous two league games and fell behind early when Armand Lauriente scored from the penalty spot after Brazilian defender Luan Peres fouled Stephane Diarra.

On 27 minutes, Boubacar Kamara equalized with a deflected effort following a Guendouzi cutback.

Before the hour, Arsenal loanee Guendouzi headed in a corner from the superb Dimitri Payet, who then played in Arkadiusz Milik to score his first goal since recovering from a long-term knee injury.

Lorient defender Houboulang Mendes turned in Guendouzi's shot in stoppage time to give Marseille the win.

In the first game at the Velodrome since Bernard Tapie's death, Marseille fans paid a series of tributes to the controversial former president.
