Brazilian star Neymar has suffered from adductor discomfort during his return to the national team. The news came to light after Brazil’s 4-1 win over Uruguay in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers – a match where Neymar scored the opening goal.

The club’s official statement read: "Neymar Jr has been suffering from adductor pain since his return from the national team and will have to extend a period of treatment for a few days before a normal return to the group."

Paris Saint-Germain had hoped to see the ace return to the starting line up after he missed the side;s Angers outing in Ligue 1 on Friday, the same day as the Uruguay match.

The knock is however minor, and he is touted to return in a week or two.
