Despite Real Madrid's struggles in the last few games both in LaLiga Santander and the Champions League, Julen Lopetegui has warned his players against complacency ahead of Sevilla's match with Los Blancos on Saturday.
Lopetegui believes that Real Madrid can be even more dangerous when they are going through tough periods and they need to bounce back.
"We enter the game with obvious excitement against Real Madrid," Lopetegui told the press conference. "We will compete for those three points against an opponent whose level we are all aware of.
"I give the same importance to every game. We are all aware of the opponent's interest and in this situation, they are much more dangerous.
"We must be prepared for the great demands that we face. Real Madrid are more than a great team.
"Real Madrid are always dangerous and even more so in these situations. I expect a strong Real Madrid, who will demand a lot from us."
Zinedine Zidane has been criticised for Real Madrid's recent performances but Lopetegui praised the Frenchman's job at Los Blancos.
"I will not enter into any evaluation [over Zidane's work]," Lopetegui noted. "[Real Madrid] are a team that are very well coached, and I refer to what they have achieved in recent years."
Lopetegui rested several starters in Sevilla's game midweek against Chelsea ahead of their match with Real Madrid on Saturday. As a result, the Andalusians were thrashed 4-0 at the hands of the Blues.
"We have to be prepared and turn the page quickly, from the most positive and also the negative situations," Lopetegui continued. "Everything we do, we do it thinking of how to win the game.
"We make decisions based on facing the matches in the best possible way. I am not aware of what is said or not said."
