Ghana and Lorient forward has credited his team mates for their support after striking his 11th goal of the season in the French League over the weekend.

The 24-year-old has now scored in each of his last four games for Sylvain Ripoll's side in the French top-flight league.

Waris who is yet to find the back of the net for Ghana in almost two years is showing swagger in the French league with his pace and trickery a puzzle to defenders in the French League.

His assistant Coach at national level Maxwell Konadu could not hide his delight after Waris struck goal number 11 against Caen.

He says it’s all down to his team mates giving it their own way.

“We all have to play our part and I must say my team mates have been very supportive,” Waris said

“We have been picking up points and even in games which he have failed to pick up points we have played very well and that is clearly not down to one person but collective team efforts.”

“They have trust in me and I happy to be doing my part to help the team.”
