Maldivian champions New Radiant have confirmed the signing of Medeama defender Yusif Nurudeen on a season-long loan deal.

GHANAsoccernet.com revealed exclusively on Wednesday morning that the former Ghana Under-20 left-back has sealed a one-year loan deal with the Blues.

The club has confirmed the capture of the former FC Costuleni player.

"We have completed the signings of Ghana U21 national team player Yusif Nurudeen. Yusif will be introduced to the players and coaching staff,” a statement on the club’s official website read

"Yusif who played in Moldova top division with FC Costuleni joined New Radiant from Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC on a loan agreement. Medeama SC finished this season in 4th position.

"Yusif is a defender but also can play in the midfield. Yusif featured in Ghana U21 team against several strong opponents.

"His additions will strengthen the club’s midfield and defense position further."

Nurudeen becomes the second Mauves and Yellows player to be handed a similar deal after winger Jacob Apau joined Armenia champions Shirak FC last week.
