Manchester United set to sign Oliveirense's Bruno Amorim - report

Craig Burley reacts to Jose Mourinho's confirmation that Man United are in talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a new deal.

Manchester United are on the verge of completing a deal for Oliveirense youngster Bruno Amorim, Lusa has reported.

A source has told ESPN FC that Amorim has been on trial at Old Trafford and Portuguese news agency Lusa quoted a source as saying a deal is "90 percent done" and that the 19-year-old "could have a great contract in front of him."

The striker is set to join United's academy squad.

Antonio Jose Leite, who works as communications director for the Portuguese second-tier club, said Oliveirense may not receive significant compensation for Amorim.

"[Oliveirense] will receive training rights, because he has been developed here, although in monetary terms [the club] may not receive more than that, because there may be other stipulations," he said.

"Those details are not decided yet. Future sales of the player mean guaranteed earnings."

ESPN FC's Manchester United correspondent, Rob Dawson, contributed to this report.
