Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with Portuguese coach Mariano Barreto to sever ties after six months in-charge of the Porcupine Warriors.
The former Ghana national team coach seems to have fallen out with management after ending the season trophyless.
Barreto signed a two-year contract in March 2021 to replace the sacked Maxwell Konadu.
Kumasi-based Nhyira FM has reported the two parties have agreed in principle to go separate ways.
The 64-year-old led Kotoko to a second place finish in last season's Ghana Premier League.
