Kotoko coach Mas-ud Dramani has dubbed Seidu Bancey ââ¬Ëa top-quality goalscorerââ¬â¢.
Bancey, who was heavily criticized by many Kotoko fans last season is beginning to warm his way into the hearts of the fans after scoring six times to emerge the leading goal scorer in the Ghanaian top-tier.
The ex-Ebusua Dwarfs attacker bagged a brace for the Porcupine Warriors as they romped to a 4-1 win over Medeama on Sunday to open a six-point lead at the summit of the table.
Dramani has hailed the playerââ¬â¢s attacking instincts and feels proud to have kept faith with him during the difficult times.
ââ¬ÅMany things have been said about him (Bancey). But I have always believed that he is a good striker,â⬠Dramani said
ââ¬ÅHe has missed a couple of games this season due to injury but anytime heââ¬â¢s fit and plays, he delivers.
ââ¬ÅHe is a top-quality striker who needs encouragement. He is a fine player with huge potential. You only have to use him well.
ââ¬ÅHe has been criticized in the past but I believe heââ¬â¢s gradually proving his critics wrong.ââ¬
Kotoko will next travel to Cape Coast to face Ebusua Dwarfs on the final day of the first half of the season.
