Ghana striker Matthew Amoah has scored more goals than any player in the Dutch top-flight league at pre-season but he is yet to be offered a contract by NAC Breda.Ã
The 32-year-old has bagged 16 goals in eight games for the Yellow Army since joining them at pre-season last month.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward netted 6 out of NAC's 18-0 win over lower-tier sideà Steenbergen last week as NAC recorded the highest scoreline at pre-season by a Dutch top-flight side.
He is closely followed by team-mateà Alex Schalk who has bagged 14 goals so far.
NAC's 47 goal record at pre-season has set a new Dutch record and Amoah who played for them between 2007 and 2011.
Reports in the Dutch media claim the Breda-based side are only willing to offer him a deal with the club's reserves squad.
But agentà Kees Ploegsma Jr. feels the Ghana international striker is far better than just second string side football.
"Matthew is not a small footballer. Everybody knows his qualities," he said.
However, NAC remain the only Eredisivie side who have declared interest in signing Amoah but it seems Amoah's camp is not that thrilled with the offer on the table.
