Medeama President Moses Armah has tasked his team to make it to the group stage in their debut continental campaign.

The Mauves will represent Ghana in the next edition of the CAF Confederations Cup following their success in the MTN FA Cup competition.

This will be the Tarkwa-based side's first ever campaign in Africa.

The club's President has now set a group stage target as the minimum requirement for Medeama's first ever season in Africa.

"We want to make a meaningful impact and by so we mean at least a group stage finish," he told GHANAsoccernet.com

"It will be our first season in Africa and we know its not going to be easy but with the team we have and the preparations we intend offering the team, I believe we can make it to the group stage.

"Once we get there we will then strategise on how to win it but for now, the primary aim is to qualify for at least the group stage."
