Medeama will be without midfield trio Kwasi Donsu, Rashid Nortey and Agyei Boakye for their Ghana Premier League season opener against Great Olympics on Sunday, the club confirmed on Thursday.
Donsu has picked up a thigh problem while Boakye dislocated his elbow during the side's pre-season friendly defeat against Karela United at Daboase.
Nortey is down with a bout of malaria and will not be available for selection.
The three players will thus miss the must-win opening encounter against a resilient Great Olympics side at the Akoon Park.
However, the team will not be without midfield options with Eric Kwakwa, Justice Blay, Michael Yeboah, Richard Boadu, Kwadwo Asamoah, Agyenim Boateng all available.
The Mauve and Yellows host the Wonder Club at the same venue they won 1-0 last season.
Team News: @MedeamaSC will be without midfield trio Kwasi Donsu, Agyei Boakye and Rashid Nortey for our 2020-21 @GhanaLeague opener against @AccraGtOlympics at the Akoon Park on Sunday.
