Ghanaian midfielder Ernest Agyiri was on the scoresheet for FCI Levadia in their opening game of the 2022 Estonian Meistriliiga campaign on Tuesday.

Levadia opened their league title defence with a 5-1 drubbing against Tallinna Kalev at the Sportland Arena in Tallinn.

The hosts were two goals up at the break with Brent Lepistu and Zakaria Beglarishvili finding the back of the net for Levadia.

Agyiri increased the advantage five minutes into the second half before teenager Mark Maiksoo pulled one back for Kalev in the 72nd minute.

Robert Kirss and Frank Liivak scored in the 87th and in stoppage time respectively to complete the rout over the visitors.

The former Manchester City player and Levadia lifted the Estonian Super Cup trophy last week after beating rivals FC Flora on penalties.
